Cupid was on fire the past 24 hours and had his arrow aimed directly at Bolton Valley, where the most convenient ski area just 30 minutes from Burlington received a foot and a half of new snow, a lotta love and at press time, it was still snowing. Winter Storm Pax coordinated its track with Cupid for maximum Valentine’s Day impact. The storm pushes the new snow total at Bolton Valley in February to nearly three feet.

“The sweet smell of love is in the air today for sure,” said Josh Arneson, director of sales and marketing for Bolton Valley. “The latest storm has positioned us beautifully for the Presidents’ holiday weekend and into next week. For the first time this year all six lifts will operate this weekend including Wilderness, Timberline and the Vista Quad. We’re feeling lots of love around here today for sure.”

Bolton anticipates having 65 trails open and six lifts for Saturday, and ski area operators are deeming this quite possibly the best weekend of the 2013-2014 season so far.

Tonight guests can ski and ride until 10 p.m. with Late Night at Bolton Valley, where lift tickets are $19 beginning at 7 p.m. Ski-in, ski-out rooms at the Slopeside Inn at Bolton Valley are available for this weekend and next week. Call 877-9BOLTON (877-926-5866) for reservations and details.
