Major Nor’easter Brings Post Christmas Snow to Bolton Valley;

More than a Foot of New Snow as of 3 p.m. and Still Snowing

BOLTON VALLEY, Vt. (Dec. 27, 2012) – Bolton Valley, big mountain skiing and riding packed with value just 30 minutes from Burlington, enjoys its share of natural snowfall each year. Mother Nature finally checked the calendar, realized it was indeed winter, and sent her first major blizzard of the 2012-2013 ski and snowboard season to Bolton Valley. As of 3 p.m. today, the ski area had received a foot of snow and it was still snowing hard. Bolton has received more than 3 feet of snow in the past week and over 80 inches of natural snow so far this winter.

“The snow has been fantastic and we have more than 50 trails open today with more to open up as the snow continues to fall,” said Josh Arneson, director of sales and marketing. “It should be a fun New Year’s weekend as we charge into 2013 with night skiing and riding and a New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks on Monday night.”
