Two inches for Tuesday? Maybe more?

Tuesday looks to shape up nicely and is quite possibly the calm before the storm. We picked up an inch this afternoon and I'm watching it snow as I write this. We welcome the new attitude of Mother Nature in 2009 as we have already seen a great powder day over the weekend and more seems to be on the way this week.

Our snowmakers are continuing to make snow over at Timberline and we are looking to get that terrain open by this weekend. We plan to have Timberline Lodge open with skiing on Timberline Run, Villager and Sure Shot. Showtime will be open as well from the mid station down.

Tuesday will start off with 34 trails and our 3 terrain parks. We'll have 3 lifts spinning--beginning with the Vista Quad at 9am, and followed by Snowflake and Mitey Mite at 10am. Patrol will monitor conditions, and the details may change. Of those open trails, 22 will be flattened into nice packed powder by the snowcats, leaving our primary snow surface as machine-groomed packed powder.

One final plug, you really should check out the "Season's Best Ski and Stay Getaway" where you can ski two days, spend one night, eat breakfast and dinner for only $149 per person. I'm not sure how they made this one work and accounting will probably flip when they crunch the numbers so book now before someone decides it really is too good to be true. Complete details are here.
