Terrain Parks

Update (12/26/08): Big news. The boys from Snow Grind, in conjunction with Allison and her park crew, have finished crafting their disturbingly cool parks. The Burton Progression Park, the Large Park, and our Jungle Jib are all now ready for prime-time and open for skiers and riders to challenge their self-preservation instincts. That crew has done a great job building up some impressive features, so check them out while your joints are young and limber. Consider it a post-Christmas present to all you daredevils. So log in to facebook, twitter all your associates, and let everyone know that, all Winter long, they'll be able to find you in the Bolton Valley terrain parks. Somewhere around here:

And now back to your regularly-scheduled boilerplate text.

                                           .     .     .

Bolton Valley Resort and Burton Snowboards have teamed up to bring you three unique parks to the mountain this winter.

First off: the Burton Progression Park. Here's a great area for people to practice and learn on scaled down rails, hits and other features. This is our second year hosting the Burton Progression Park at Bolton Valley.

And then: the Large Park provides the next level of stunts after you've graduated from the Burton Progression Park. It has its own concoction of jumps, rails, and boxes, and is easily accessed from the Snowflake Lift. So, when you're ready to go Large, you know where to go.

And don't forget to check out our newest mini-terrain park, the Jungle Jib beneath the Vista Quad. There are four features here, highlighted by the down-flat-down rail, the corrugated tube, and the tire bonk. In fact, the hyper-colorfied photo at the bottom of this page was taken in the Jungle Jib on December 20th.

Now the cool part: all of our parks are lit and open for night skiing. Come on up to Bolton and launch yourself off our park features until 8pm, Wednesday thru Saturday nights all season.

And new this year: we've installed two SMI Pole Cat Fan Guns single-mindedly dedicated just to making snow for the parks. These guns crank out a tremendous amount of the white stuff and will allow us to keep the parks in great shape all Winter long.
