Bolton Adventure Center (BAC) offers the latest in Challenge Course technology. A beautiful design hidden gracefully within our natural mountain environment, the Challenge Course consists of both low elements for team collaboration and high elements for individual accomplishments and team unity. Challenge Course programs can be custom designed to meet your group’s goals and needs. As the day progresses, we increase the challenge level of each activity and also deepen our discussions about the interactions and process that your group has experienced. Your full day on BAC’s Challenge Course includes ice breakers, games, initiatives, low element challenges and a progression through our high elements.
HIGH ELEMENTS
Our High Elements are a chance for individuals to challenge themselves beyond their comfort levels, while being supported by their group members. Set forty feet above the ground, our high elements provide the most exciting and exhilarating experience. When on the High Elements, you will always wear a harness and helmet and be on belay. Test your balance on the Catwalk (balance beam), take the Leap of Faith (target jump), conquer the Tension Traverse (high wire), or have the ride of your life on the Giant Swing. Enhance trust and communication, as your team members learn to belay for one another. With team support, you will find the courage to push yourself beyond your limits and realize that anything is within your reach.
LOW ELEMENTS
The Low Elements are designed to provide your group with challenges to help you work together. In this collaboration, your team will gain a better understanding of how effective communication and trust will enable you to be successful in overcoming challenges. Some of our Low Elements will require you to walk as a group on cables positioned two feet off the ground, balance a large teeter-totter, or swing on ropes to get across a poisonous peanut butter pit. Our low course combines great achievable challenges with those that look virtually impossible. Each element allows your group to set it’s own challenge level and define it’s own parameters for success. Our facilitated discussions will lead you to gain deeper insight to your group’s cohesion, and your own personal growth.
