My Experience at Bolton Adventure Camp
By Isaiah Mann, age 12

I went to Bolton Adventures Camp feeling a bit nervous. I didn't know anybody except my cousin, and some of the high elements were rather intimidating. I got there and completed my first day. It was fun and I got to know people. The second day was equally fun. I gradually was getting to know everybody. The third day was fun and scary at the same time. The fun came from doing it and the scary came from being up so high and feeling like you could

I definitely began building friendships on the fourth day. We hiked up the skiing mountain. It gave us a lot of time to socialize and converse. At the top, we climbed up a tower and saw the surrounding mountains. The fifth day held the two elements that I found most intimidating. Still I did both and ended up enjoying them. After I did, I felt an immense sense of accomplishment. I'd made new friends and braved the high elements. All in all, it was a great week that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Partners In Adventure, a summer program serving teens and young adults with and without disabilities, was pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Pete and his crew at Bolton Adventure Center again this year! Our campers with significant physical and developmental challenges participated in all of the activities that Bolton offered us. The full body harnesses and the staff's expertise made it possible for our campers to freely zoom through the air on the giant swing. Pete and his staff made sure that each campers experience was tailored specifically to their individual needs so that they each received the most that they could from the giant swing! These opportunities are invaluable for the teens and young adults involved in our program! Thank you Bolton Adventure Center !

“Our annual holiday party combines the best Bolton offers – outdoor play (snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding), indoor facilitated group games, and fabulous food. For a group that works hard, we like to play hard too! Although our competitive sides were evident during the games, the facilitator helped us draw on our humor and ingenuity to create a fabulous team building experience. After all that work, the chef's offerings were the culmination of great evening.”

“The experience was very positive for the group. Bill (the Head Coach) very much liked our facilitator and we do plan on bringing the group back in the fall.”

“I want to express again what a great time I had yesterday! You have designed a fascinating and interactive program that will help people young and old to take the leap to the next level. I also enjoyed your excellent facilitation of the games and debriefs.”

“I wanted to personally thank you for your introduction to BAC ( Bolton Adventure Center ) last week. The programs that are available are fantastic. I passed on your info to my office manager and told her what a fabulous opportunity it is for the staff.”

“Thank you so much for our terrific day up at BAC ( Bolton Adventure Center ). We all learned a lot about orienteering, and about ourselves. The kids are feeling proud of themselves and confidence in the best lesson they can learn. You were both great teachers and treated us all with respect.”
