IT Network Administrator

Job Summary:  The IT Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing and implementing all the Informational Technology needs at Bolton Valley Resort and ensuring that the direction coincides with the business strategies.  Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, repair, administration and troubleshooting of equipment and software necessary for operation of the Local Area network, Phone Systems, and Wi-Fi as needed as well as for desktop and laptop computers and point of sale needs of the Resort.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and systems management as well as problem solving and working with end users.  We are looking for someone excited to be a hnads-on part of the team at Bolton Valley.


Essential Functions & Diagnostic Skills: 

    • Administration, security,installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all site hardware and software
    • Install and configure software and computer systems
    • Network administration and security
    • Support colleagues and clients with their technical issues
    • Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems
    • Develop and maintaining documentation of all hardware, systems and software licensing
    • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
    • Analyze records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues
    • Support the implementation of new solutions or applications
    • Software licensing, SSL certifications and renewals
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware
    • Troubleshoot & repair point-of-sale computers and peripheral
    • Troubleshoot & repair Wi-Fi Network/Access and Coordinate with outside consultant to find solutions
    • Support and manage the following: PFSense firewall & Security Systems, Unifi Wireless Networks, 3CX VoIP Phone Systems, Networking Switches and PoE, SMS Host Server and clients, Siriusware Server and Clients, Applie Ipads running Lavu POS Apps, Saflok Hotel Card Entry Key Systems, Windows Servers and Services and Office 365
    • Maintain audit compliance
    • Maintain PCI compliance
    • Technical on site project lead for installations and upgrades of property systems and hardware



NOTE:  All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends. 


Customer Service Expectations: 

Employee is expected to be courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton Valley’s commitment to providing superior customer service. 



  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional systems management experience 
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware and applications
  • Experience with Microsoft software required
  • Experience in a networked computer environment
  • Knowledge of wireless (Wi-Fi) systems
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • Proved ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Microsoft Training and A+ certification is a plus
  • Previous Hotel or Resort experience a plus
  • Must be able to work flexible days/hours - some on-call duty is required


 Physical and Mental Demands:  Some long periods of sitting and working at a computer and on the phone.  Must be able to work in various resort positions (inside and outside) for long periods of time.



Work Environment:  Work is performed in all areas of the resort (inside and outside). The primary job is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
