IT Support Technician

Job Summary:  The IT Support Technician assists the IT Manager with all the basic Informational Technology needs at Bolton Valley Resort. They will assist with installing, maintaining, repairing, administering and troubleshooting equipment and software necessary for the daily operational needs.


Essential Functions & Diagnostic Skills: 

  • Install and configure software and computer systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware.
  • Walk colleagues or clients through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
  • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization.
  • Analyze records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues.
  • Support the implementation of new solutions or applications.
  • Troubleshooting & repairing point-of-sale equipment
  • Troubleshooting & repairing Wi-Fi Network/Access
  • Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.


NOTE:  All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends. 


Customer Service Expectations: 

Employee is expected to be courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton Valley’s commitment to providing superior customer service. 



  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in a technical support role.
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Microsoft Training and A+ certification is a plus
  • Previous Hotel or Resort experience a plus.
  • Experience with a networked computer environment.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.



Physical and Mental Demands:  Some long periods of sitting and working at a computer and on the phone.  Must be able to work in various resort positions (inside and outside) for long periods of time.


Work Environment:  Work is performed in all areas of the resort (inside and outside). The primary job is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
