Three Feet of New Snow at Bolton Valley in the Past Eight Days

Open Trail Count Quadruples

BOLTON VALLEY, VT (1/20/2016) -

Winter storms have been rolling through Bolton Valley for the past week. The mountain has picked up three feet of new snow since Wednesday, January 13, with 21 inches of that falling in the past 72 hours.

Photos of skiers and riders enjoying the new snow on Wednesday, January 20 can be found here:

“Floating through fresh powder this morning was a great way to wake up. I barely needed my coffee.” said Josh Arneson, vice president of sales and marketing. “We always love being in a snowy pattern like this, and judging by the snow covered smiles around the mountain today, I think our guests like it too.”

The new snow, combined with snowmaking, has allowed Bolton Valley to more than quadruple its open trail count in the past eight days. There were eight trails open on January 13, that number has climbed to 37 today and most likely will be over 40 by the weekend.
