First and foremost, we would like to say thank you to everyone who bought a green pass. You have not only invested in the future of Bolton Valley, but also the future our our planet! We are hugely grateful for both of those things.
Update: At the beginning of the 2018/2019 season, we purchased and installed new high efficiency compressors. These compressors have allowed us to run fully on electric power instead of the diesel fuel that we have used in years past. They are also more efficient, which enables us to get more snowmaking done in less time all while lessening our impact on the environment.Although not totally related, we thought it may interest you that we have also switched to LED lighting for night skiing at Bolton Valley. The LEDs are brighter and more efficient then the halogen lights we have used for years.
We are taking strides to improve overall operations while simultaneously reducing our environmental impact. New equipment is almost alway more efficient, and we are looking to make upgrades whenever we can in order to protect what we love so very much: winter! (amongst other things)
