Guided 4×4 sunset tours in Vermont
Join Bolton Valley Resort for a unique and amazing 4×4 adventure. Our guides will lead a climb to the top of the Vista Lift in your 4×4, teaching you everything you need to know about off-roading.
The adventure gets started at the base of Vista Lift. A guide will lead you up class 3 and 4 work roads to the top. Take a break at the top, climb the fire tower, shoot some pics and hang out with fellow 4×4 enthusiasts.
While you are out on the 4×4 adventure, we will fire up the grill for a private Sunset Dinner. Burgers of all kinds, Marinated Chicken Breast Sammies, Tallow Fried Kettle Chips, Garden Salad and assorted Seltzer.
Vermont Local Brews will be available at an additional cost.
Meeting time will be at 5:30 PM in the Base Area, with a 6 PM departure. The tour will return to the base area by 7:30 PM.

No unauthorized use of vehicles is permitted on any mountain terrain at any time outside of these designated events.
Our guides will provide a vehicle check before we hit the road.

Yes! You don’t need years of off-road experience to enjoy the Vermont 4×4 Mountain Climb. We welcome first-timers, and there will be beginner-friendly routes along with experienced drivers and event staff who are happy to help you get started. Bring your 4×4, take it at your own pace, and enjoy a fun ride in the mountains with a supportive off-road community.
While we always welcome furry friends on designated trails and around the base area, we will not be allowing them in vehicles for these off-road drives.
Probably not. These evening drives are limited to just a few vehicles. Signing up in advance is highly recommended.
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring along a crew as long as your vehicle has enough seats and seatbelts for them.
Whatever you’ve got! Jeeps, Trucks, SUVs, Broncos, Toyotas… as long as your ride fits within the vehicle requirements, you’re good to go.
Absolutely not. There are no unauthorized motor vehicles allowed on our mountain at any time. Only sanctioned event vehicles are permitted on the mountain during these events. No exceptions.
