BV Mountain Bike Revival Party

Date: Jul 12 2018

All proceeds from the July 12 Vermont Beer Pairing Pop-Up Series featuring the Alchemist Brewery will go directly toward funding mountain biking trails at Bolton Valley.

“It’s insanely technical.“

“Beginners can’t have fun there, the trails are just too hard.“

“I mean, it’s amazing super old school riding, if you can handle it.”

“Riders will definitely leave with bumps and bruises to prove they were there.”

We’ve heard it all before. And, yes, the trail network at Bolton Valley is very challenging and filled with steep & tight sections, technical bridges, drops, roots, rocks, stumps and more. Years ago this network was open with lift served riding, but legend has it that only the toughest bikers out there were able to endure (and enjoy) the beating these trails routinely dished out.

After over a decade of dormancy, we’re bringing these monstrous trails back to life. We’ll be working with professional trail builders and a team of volunteers (you) to make this happen. The work this summer will include establishing a solid uphill trail on the Wilderness section of the mountain to provide access to six of the original downhill trails. . . which are just as difficult as bikers remember. Plans to expand the system beyond these six trails, including building out the network so that riders of all ability levels feel at home, are in the works for future years.

The trails will be open to the public for free. But of course re-habbing this network does come at a cost. That’s why were hosting the BV Mountain Bike Revival Fundraiser at the July 12 Vermont Beer Pairing Pop-Up Series. This Pop-Up night will feature a dinner prepared using products from local farms paired with your favorite beers from the Alchemist Brewery, including the award winning Heady Topper. The evening will also include a raffle with some great prizes.

All proceeds from the raffle and food & beverage sales will go directly toward funding the trail build so come on out and help us turn the trails back on at Bolton Valley.

Bring your friends and join fellow mountain biking enthusiasts for this special night and you can say you were there at the beginning, and helped to bring this challenging terrain back to life.
