Bolton Valley Cinco de Derby Weekend Menu 2019

We’re sending it all weekend long up here at the James Moore Tavern to celebrate the Kentucky Derby (Sat May 4) and Cinco de Mayo (Sun May 5) with a weekend full of fun. Saturday, don your best derby attire for the “greatest 2 minutes in sports” - you bring the fancy hats, sun dresses and sear sucker suits and we’ll bring the southern hospitality with a side of fried chicken and mint juleps. Oh yeah, and a human horse race, too! Festivities begin around noon on Saturday and -rain or shine- we’ll be registering racers at 4pm for a 4:30 start time for the first annual Bolton Derby! Not to be outdone, the fancy hat contest will go down during/between the human horse race and the _actual_ derby will be playing on the big screen with race start time of 6:50pm… oddly specific, we know. We’ll have the derby hype train rolling by 6:30 I’m sure…

Sunday will feature a classic Cinco de Mayo celebration with piñats, perpetually flowing margaritas, tacos and queso. We know, we know, we’re supposed to crawl under a pile of rocks and disappear this time of year, but we had a big group meeting and decided “Nahhhhhhh…” Bolton Valley summer is on like Donkey Kong… you’ve been warned!
