Group Events in a Socially Distant World – Bolton Valley

As we stumble through the season of cancelled group events my role as the group sales guy is, well, very interesting.

We had been enjoying the visits of ski and ride clubs from throughout the northeast, local merchants and business meetings, reunions, wedding celebrations and family gatherings. These visits have been increasing steadily over the past few years.

Our team was very excited to take the next steps for growing all facets of our groups business by leaps and bounds…. then the unwelcomed special guest arrived in our lives. I think we can all agree that the past few months have been different to say the least.

So now is a chance to work on efficiencies, business and guest flow and keeping it real in this time of many unanswered questions. This recalls an inspiring oratory passage from the great American philosopher John Bluto Blutarsky.  “What? Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? It ain’t over now, cause when the goin’ gets tough the tough get goin’. Who’s with me? Let’s go, come on!

I want to see you, your colleagues, and friends together in our beautiful mountain setting again. From Stowe to Burlington, from near and far, young, and old.  My friends and co-workers at Bolton Valley Resort are working hard to continue to provide a great experience and even some new ideas which will be welcomed by our guests.

Our hotel is being renovated so we are ecstatic to share refreshed rooms this fall and beyond.  Let’s stay in touch and get together soon. From my Animal House to yours, be well.

PS Maybe I should have taken that job with Charmin. No, work with groups they said….
