Disc Golf Proves Pandemic Proof

Disc Golfers Showing How It's Done at Bolton Valley

That headline is actually putting it mildly… Disc Golf hasn’t merely survived the COVID-19 pandemic, but rather it has thrived. It’s easy to see why as everyone was looking for physically distanced activities outside to do that were fun, new and exciting. Enter Disc Golf. Here at Bolton Valley we have 27 holes – our 18 hole Vista Beast Disc Golf Course and the newer 9 hole course set up right in the main base area around Vista lift allowing us to turn on the lights for Night Disc Golf Friday Nights throughout the summer, which is always a good time on the hill.

But don’t take our word for it, this recent Sports Illustrated article points out, “Nearly 50 years after the PDGA’s humble beginnings, it now boasts 150,000 members… Last year alone saw the registration of more than 20,000 members, continuing a 13-year streak of record membership growth.

Not to mention all the non-registered players… we have a lot of those up here, especially for our socially focused Night Disc Golf weekly series on Fridays in the base area on our new 9 hole course. A great way to get some food and drinks with friends in the mountains, watch our legendary sunsets and then send it into the night.

Take it from BV Marketing’s own Andrew Tonra who recently gave disc golf a whirl and was not disappointed:
