We've had a few spectacular days on the mountain, where snow would fall overnight and the days featured sunny skies and comfortable temps. Starting tonight we'll still have the comfortable temps around the mountain but the precipitation will change to rain. But, fear not, the surfaces should be super soft and fun as temps will climb into the upper 40s on Tuesday. Look at this as a chance to test out that new waterproof gear. Also, the forecast is calling for only occasional rain, so you may end up being drier than you think. Our groomer will stay off of the Nordic terrain until after this thaw passes, once the snow freezes back up we'll get back out to set tracks and skate groom. Until then enjoy exploring over 1200 acres of backcountry terrain. The wax of the day will be Red.

Looking to try out something different? We have fat bikes, snowshoes, splitboards, and AT demo gear and rentals for you to take out. New this year, check out our expanded line-up of backcountry educational programs and tours. Whether you need a little help learning the ropes or you are a seasoned backcountry traveler looking for a guided tour of our 1200 acres of terrain, we have a program that will fit your needs.

This week is Presidents' Week and that means the days will be filled with fun activities from an ice cream social, to a magic snow and more. The Village Café music series has yet another weekend of music as Erin Cassels-Brown takes the stage once more on Friday and Julia Spelman will perform Saturday. On February 24, join us for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Snow DaysThese free events give Vermonters and BCBS members the opportunity to try cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, in an effort to encourage physical activity during the cold winter months. Tickets and rentals will be free for all for Vermonters and all BCBS members from 11am-3pm.

Uphill Travel: The two on mountain uphill routes are open for uphill travel. While you are welcome to travel uphill anywhere on our Nordic and backcountry terrain, please limit your on-mountain uphill travel to only the two designated routes. Uphill travel is at your own risk and you will need either a ticket or season pass to use the trails. Please keep in mind that there are no dogs allowed on open or closed trails. Should you encounter any mountain operation vehicles please yield the right of way to them. Check the Uphill Travel Policy for more information.
