Good Morning!  Its shaping up to be another great Saturday here at Bolton Valley.

We’ve had 9” of fresh snowfall in the last week bringing our season-long total up to 238 inches.  238 inches was last years season-long total…  That’s right—It’s only February and we’ve already matched last year’s snowfall.  We knew that we were in the midst of an amazing season, but this is truly something special.

There was fresh grooming on nordic terrain this morning.  Please check the trail report for details on trails and conditions.

Weather today will be quite mild.  We’re looking at partly sunny skies  with temperatures starting off in the low teens and rising to a high of nearly 30 this afternoon.

Today is The Blue Cross Blue Shield Snow Day at Bolton Valley.  All Vermont State Residents or Blue Cross Blue Shield members will receive FREE Nordic passes and rentals (good for cross country skiing or snowshoeing) from 11am-3pm on a first come, first served basis.  This evening we are offering childcare with the BV Kids Night out as well as live music in the James Moore Tavern.  Details for all of these events can be found here at BoltonValley.com/Events.

To our beloved backcountry and free healing, human powered uphill enthusiasts: It is apparent that the uphill travel community is thriving at Bolton Valley, and we love that! There’s nothing better than earning some turns.  That being said, please stick to our designated uphill travel routes and adhere to our uphill travel policy, found here: https://www.boltonvalley.com/the-mountain/uphill-travel-policy. When you venture off of the designated routes, you are not just putting yourself and our groomers at risk—you are jeopardizing the future of something we feel is only just beginning.  The three main points we want to emphasize here are: 1. Stay on the designated uphill routes 2. No dogs allowed 3. Show love to our hard working groomers by giving them the space and respect they need and deserve. We love uphill skiing as much as you do and are psyched to be on the front edge of this evolution in resort skiing and riding. Help us demonstrate that uphill and lift access skiing and riding can be harmonized by following the rules that keep everyone safe and enable us to do the work we need to do to operate the ski area.

Today’s going to be beauty.  We’ll see you up here!
