We are now booking winter lessons, whether you want to come for a private or group lesson or perhaps partake in one of our multi-week programs. We’ve been teaching folks of all ages and abilities to ski and ride since the dawn of time and our trained instructors would love to teach you to get on the lift and/or take your skill to the next level if this isn’t your first rodeo.
Multi-Week Lesson Programs:
We hope you will consider joining us for one of these tremendous programs:
– 1, 2, 3 Learn to Ski & Ride for ages 4 & up (never evers & beginners only), 3 sessions for 2 hours each
– Thursday (After School) Throwdown Freeride Team (ages 10-18), 2 hour session over 8 weeks

Season Long Lease Equipment – Alpine & Backcountry
Season Long Alpine Lease Equipment:
– Starting at just $99 for kids and $149 for youth – our prices are typically the cheapest around
– No schlepping gear across town – show up on day one and take ’em out on the slopes, but also take them anywhere you go all winter long. When you ski here at Bolton Valley and need a quick tune, ski/ride on down to the shop and get ’em spruced up as you have a coffee, donut, beer, lunch, whatever. And right back out on the slopes you go!
Season Long Backcountry Lease Equipment:
Rumor has it we have THE most pioneering backcountry program of ANY lift served ski resort in North America.
This includes our season lease equipment program for backcountry AT skis and splitboards from Dynafit, Burton and Jones. The fun begins Saturday, 11/5 – no online bookings or advance reservations for this one, simply first come first served at the Sports Center during hours which will be kept up to date here:
Backcountry Lease Purchase & Pickup Schedule
Winter Season Passes
Just 30 minutes from Burlington, Montpelier, the Mad River Valley – and even closer to all points in between – we invite you to drive (and queue) less, so you can ski and ride more this winter!
Skiing and riding more with us doesn’t just mean less time on the road or in lift lines, but it also means night skiing Tuesday to Saturday until 10pm under our LED lights.
Oh, and did we mention we’re a locally owned and operated independent business? Yeah, our community matters to us, like, A LOT!
Thank you to all our beloved friends and loved ones in the local community for making what we do possible… and fun! we can’t wait to see you on the slopes again this winter.
New Venues for Weddings and Groups
We are so excited about TWO new venues for your group gathering and/or wedding day!
Care to rent your own private base lodge & lift on a Tuesday to Thursday from early February to mid March this winter? We got you with the Timberline lift and newly renovated Timberline Lodge – a beautiful wedding venue and event space – on days that lift won’t spin for the general public, of course.
We also now (again) own The Ponds a GORGEOUS mountain venue with a long established reputation as one of Vermont’s premier mountain wedding venues.
If you have an event coming up, we’d love to speak with you about the various options here at Bolton Valley.
2023 Bike Park Season Passes Now on Sale

What an absolutely historic summer for mountain biking at the Bolton Bike Park. We LOVE the new blue jump trail, Bluebird, but nothing has transformed the scene here more than the 3.5 mile beginner flow trail, Ebascootcha, allowing folks to learn to ride with us in summer the same way they have for years in the winter. Care to join us next season?
2023 Bike Park Season Passes will never be cheaper:
$299 Adults (18+)
$199 Youth (17 & Under)
$100 Pedal Pass (trail access, but no lift access – all ages)
We Are FamilyIndependent Spirit
Chances are, if you learned how to ski in Northern Vermont, you learned at Bolton Valley. Ralph DesLauriers founded Bolton Valley in 1966 with the vision of making skiing accessible for everyone in Vermont. And 50+ years later that vision continues to evolve under the next generation of DesLauriers leadership. Watch Story Time with Ralph and reminisce a bit – noone said building a ski resort was easy! – or tap into our President’s latest thinking with Letters From Lindsay.
Whether celebrating all the good times that got us here or all the exciting growth that is to come, you’re always welcome here!
