Nordic Trails Report
Updated 1/27 at 1:00pm
Nordic trails are skiing great. The fresh snow in the past 48hrs has really softened things up. The groomer is currently out on Maple and Spruce so please proceed with caution.

NBU (Nordic/Backcountry/Uphill) Report
Wilderness and Timberline uphill routes are both open as are the lifts. Please keep a single file skin track to the side of the trail as we are extremely busy with lift riding public today.
Reminder, no snowshoes are permitted on the designated uphill routes on our alpine terrain (the Wilderness and Timberline Designated Uphill Routes). They are permitted on our nordic and backcountry terrain.
As always, be properly prepared for your adventure as services may be delayed including rescue on our uphill terrain (only during operating hours). Cover remains very thin and variable on our natural snow / ungroomed terrain. Please use extra caution and watch out for stumps, water bars and thin cover. Although we’ve had 18″ of snow since Thursday, we’ve also seen some high winds that have blown a lot of snow into favorable aspects (happy hunting!), but also scoured other areas, leaving stumps, open water bars and other natural hazards.
Friendly reminder, per our Uphill Policy:
Uphill travel on designated routes is permitted all day and night (when trails are declared open) with these important exceptions:
- Wilderness Uphill Route is closed 10pm – 12am daily.
- Timberline Uphill Route is closed 5am – 9am daily.
- Anytime posted as closed.
As always, be sure to avoid all Mountain Operations and snowmaking.
The cover is thin and variable, so use caution as always.
Friendly reminder: under our new uphill policy (see link below), everyone is required to have a NBU (Nordic/Backcountry/Uphill) Ticket or Pass at all times (regardless of lift or ticket window hours) to access the trails. If the lift ticket window is closed (like at 6am or 6pm on a day we don’t have night skiing for instance) you can buy a NBU Ticket online and your receipt will act as your ticket/proof of purchase should you be questioned by patrol or any Bolton Valley personnel. Thank you for your support!
