But The View From The Lift Is Pretty Special
Sure, You Could HikeEnjoy the leaves from up above
Come on out and enjoy a scenic lift ride during one of the prettiest times of the year. The easiest way to see the most fall foliage is by taking a gorgeous lift ride to the top of Vista Peak.

Mountain & Lift Schedule
Please Be Advised– You must load the lift at least 45 minutes before lift closes to get a ride back down from the summit. See lift hours HERE.
This gives riders enough time to enjoy the ride up (about 20 minutes each way), a few minutes to walk around at the summit, and then enjoy the ride back down before lifts close for the day (yes, 20 minutes going back down too, but you don’t wanna miss this leg of the trip – it’s truly stunning!).
If you’d like plenty of time to explore the summit (and scenic lookout tower) AND would like a chairlift ride back down to the main base area, please board the lift (to go up from main base area) more than 45 minutes before lifts close for the day. Thank you!
Pedestrians boarding the lift, please note:
– One ride lift tickets allow you a ride up and down, typically under 20 minutes each way
– Per the State of Vermont, you must have closed toe and closed heel shoes to board the lift (sorry, no Crocs permitted)
– No infants allowed on the lift. Children must be able to walk independently and the parent/guardian must assure us they can sit independently for 15 minutes to board the lift.
