Lift Tickets Sold Out – Please Don’t Come to Resort Without Pre Purchased Lift Ticket, Season Pass or Indy Pass
No on site ticket sales day of Eclipse. Lift access is available to skiers and riders only, no downloading.
All PRE PRUCHASED lift tickets, Indy Passholder redemptions, and season passes will be valid for skiing and riding from 10am to 6pm with a 45-60 minute pause of lift service starting at 3pm during the eclipse itself.
First come, first served to the parking lots and we expect to park out early that day. Our parking lots will be staffed to allow folks that have a valid pre purchased lift ticket, season pass, Indy Pass or hotel reservation to park and party with us at that day. Folks without pre bought tickets, season passes, Indy passes or hotel reservations will be turned around and not permitted to park at the resort. Lots will be roped off Sunday night before. No overnight parking or camping permitted all weekend long.

Live Music Eclipse Weekend
Sat 4/6 6-8pm: Bluegrass with the Queen City Cut-Ups

Can I park overnight in the Bolton lots?
NO. Parking lots will be swept on Sunday night before the eclipse and cars parked overnight will be towed.
What time will the parking lots open on Monday?
8 am
Can I watch the eclipse from the peak of the mountain?
Yes.
Can I use my Indy pass day on eclipse day?
Yes, no reservation needed. Just show your Indy pass in parking lot before heading up to ticket office to redeem for ticket
Can I buy lift tix in person on eclipse day, Monday 4/8?
No. Lift tickets for this day are limited and will sell out in advance. We will be staffing the access road and parking lots to ensure that only folks with valid lift tickets, season passes, Indy Passes and/or hotel reservations are permitted to park in the lots that day.
Will eclipse glasses be available for sale?
Yes, we will be selling glasses but quantities are limited.
Do I need skis or snowboard to load the lift?
Yes. No downloading on the lift will be permitted. You must ski or ride down the mountain if you ride the lift that day.
Bolton Valley sits in the path of totality for the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 and with our west facing slopes and lift service from 10am to 6pm on the day of the eclipse (10am to 5pm on the weekend prior)- you’ll be hard pressed to find a better ski resort in the United States for celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime-occurrence.
Saturday night we’ve got a night of red-hot bluegrass from Burlington, VT. We are extremely pleased to welcome the Queen City Cut-Ups (ft. Andrew Stearns of Wild Leek River and Pappy of Cabinet). Then on sunday afternoon we take the party outdoors for a slopeside dance fest with DJ Fattie B. We’ll be booted and suited, grooving to the music on the deck outside the James Moore Tavern.
Then for the main event, Monday’s Total Solar Eclipse. The total eclipse will take place around 3:30pm and can be seen from anywhere on the resort. We will be joined by the very aptly-named Moon PPL funk fusion group on the tavern deck before and after the eclipse Monday, with lift operations and music pausing during the peak of the eclipse. Free live music all weekend long, some momentous solar-lunar activity, and spring skiing. We’ll see you there!
Views of the total eclipse will abound from nearly everywhere across the resort, but of course folks are interested in taking in the magic from the top of the mountain and we’ll be spinning lifts accordingly. We’ll pause lift service (and live music) during the total eclipse as – let’s face it – Mother Nature is the real star here. But we’ll be eating, drinking, skiing, riding and being merry all weekend long to celebrate this momentous occasion.
