Steps For Success

Anyone returning or traveling to Vermont must follow Vermont’s mandatory quarantine policy. Vermonters returning from an out-of-state trip must complete either a 14-day quarantine or a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test.

Residents of other states must adhere to the quarantine guidelines:

  • Travelers arriving to Vermont in a personal vehicle must complete either a 14-day quarantine or a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test in their home state and enter Vermont without further quarantine restrictions.
  • Travelers arriving to Vermont who have not completed a pre-arrival quarantine must complete either a 14-day quarantine or a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test in a Vermont lodging establishment or with friends and family (travelers must stay in their quarantine location for the duration of quarantine other than to travel to and from a test site).
  • Read more about quarantining at the Vermont Department of Health website.

If you answer YES to any of THESE QUESTIONS please help us by staying home. Per the State of Vermont’s Ski Industry Guidance, you will be asked to attest that your answer is ‘no’ to all the above questions at time of purchase and when visiting our indoor spaces.

  1. Please wear your Face Covering AT ALL TIMES except when sitting at a table and actively eating/drinking (pull covering back up between bites/sips and when our staff approaches your table, please) OR skiing/riding up or downhill – must wear on lifts, even if travelling with members from your travelling part, per Vermont Ski Industry Guidance. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. If, FOR ANY REASON, you are unable to wear a face covering while in lift lines, riding the chair lift, in between bites of food, any time you interact with our staff, etc, please do not visit Bolton Valley at this time. Thank you for your understanding as we do everything we can to ensure the best environment possible for our staff, guests and community.
  2. Please use your car as your base lodge. There will be limited capacity in all our indoor spaces and there will be NO INDOOR STORAGE OF BAGS, BOOTS or PERSONAL BELONGINGS in any of our indoor spaces. Additionally…
  3. We are asking that you “Share The Warmth” in our base lodge this season and limit visits to 30 minutes or less. Per the State of Vermont’s Ski Industry Guidance (linked above) you will need to sign into our base lodge and make the same attestation that anyone that buys a lift ticket, season pass, rental or lesson will at point of sale declaring that you do not:
  4. Have any symptoms of COVID-19, had any contact in last 14 days with individuals known to have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or that you are in compliance with Vermont’s Cross State Travel Guidance
  5. Also, don’t forget to sanitize frequently and keep 6 feet of physical distancing, even in lift lines

If you have your pass or reload your card with lift tickets, you’re all set, go straight from car to lifts!

If you need a BV MTN Card, bring the “Voucher” attached to the email you received at time of purchase and simply scan at a Pick Up Box, direct from your phone.

Either way, please help us keep our staff safe by skipping the ticket counter altogether.

And hang on to that RFID card. Next time you can simply reload online to the WTP# and go straight from your car to the lifts!

  • Rentals: Rent online in advance and we’ll get your gear prepped for you for a quick pick-up! There will be storage for your walking boots in outdoor cubbies and lockers. Please leave anything else you will not be able to keep on your person while skiing and riding in your personal base lodge (i.e. your car). Thank you!
  • Lessons: All lessons are required to book in advance and will meet on snow. The “Explorer’s Clubhouse” will not be open to walk-in traffic this winter.

  • Your Car is Your Base Lodge: There will be no storage of bags, boots or personal belongings in any of our indoor spaces this year so please plan to leave whatever you won’t be skiing and riding with on your person in your car AND when you do visit our base lodge, please:
