Groundskeeper/Disc Golf/Snowmaking

 Job Summary:  The Groundskeeper is responsible for general grounds maintenance around the resort, keeping the grounds as neat and tidy as possible including the Disc Golf Course.  

Essential Functions:   

• Mow grass with a self-propelled walk-behind mower and brush saws 
• Weed Wack  
• Spread mulch around shrubbery and flower beds and golf tee pad 
• Plant and water plants and flowers 

• Pick up and dispose of trash around resort grounds 
• Assist with small maintenance/construction projects  
• Ability to work under varying conditions (heat, cold, rain bugs, etc.). 
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old by start date 
• Minimum of completed High school education 
• Ability to carry heavy loads (50+)  
• Good judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills 
• Some knowledge of Disc Golf 

• Strong desire and motivation to work hard and make a difference every day 
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License 
• Willingness to learn 
• Weed Wacker, Lawn Mower and knowledge 

NOTE:  All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.   

Customer Service Expectations:  Must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton’s commitment to providing superior customer service.         

Qualifications:  valid driver’s license for operating company vehicles and equipment.  

Required Knowledge and Skills:  knowledge of safe operation of landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers and weed whackers. 

Physical and Mental Demands:  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and to bend and twist to maintain plants and shrubbery.  Weather can be uncomfortably hot and humid. 

Work Environment:  Work is performed primarily outside in all weather conditions, including heat, humidity and rain.
