Job Summary:  The Recruitment & Housing Coordinator provides administrative support to Bolton Valley Resort Human Resource’s Department. The position will include Employee Recruitment, J-1 Visa Employee Coordinator and Employee Housing Coordinator.  The position will also include general administrative tasks.   

Essential Functions:  

  • Will handle the recruitment for full-time year-round positions and summer and winter seasonal positions. 
  • Will research for off-site Job Fairs and personally attend. 
  • Assist with department orientations. 
  • Administer employee housing rental agreements/leases. 
  • Conduct safety meetings and conduct evacuation drills. 
  • Check housing references as needed. 
  • Will bring any concerns regarding employee housing to the HR Director. 
  • Will meet and greet the J-1’s and provide them their uniforms and assist in their employment paperwork. 
  • Conducts weekly room inspections for the J-1’s. 
  • Arrange International employee events and bus scheduling.  
  • Weekly day trips with the international employees when needed. 
  • Processes mail daily. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Other Functions:  

  1. Assist in general cleanup and maintenance of work areas, including shoveling/sanding/salting of entryway and moving ski/board racks. 

 

NOTE:  All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Valid driver’s license  
  • 2 years of previous administrative experience  

 Required Knowledge and Skills:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Helpful, outgoing and friendly personality 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • General interest in the ski industry and in helping others 
  • Ability to follow instructions 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information 

Physical and Mental Demands:  

  • Alternating prolonged periods of standing and sitting. 
  • Stress from dealing with fast-paced environment. 
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. (boxes of trail maps or brochures, ski racks, etc.).  

Work Environment:  Work is performed almost exclusively indoors, except for some shoveling/sanding/salting of exterior stairs and entryways.  The pace is fast, involving lots of information and questions in rapid succession.
