Off To The Races – Opening Weekend 2020

Well, with the first weekend in our rearview window and the second weekend approaching quickly, Bolton Valley has a really good idea of what’s in store for this season.

Once again, we are blown away by the love and support our customers continually show us year after year. Every early season, we are reminded just how understanding and happy everyone is to be back on the hill, especially this year.

This past weekend and our first night of night skiing looked different than the years prior but the main aspect of it is the same. Everyone is enjoying themselves because they are sliding down the hill on snow.

Sure, everyone has a mask on, and you think you recognize that person you’ve ridden the chairlift with before countless times but really can’t tell because of the masks, and everyone is keeping their distance from one another, and the lodge and dining look pretty different but the joy and spirits are the same.

Everyone is stoked that we could make this season happen safely and healthily for the skier and rider along with our staff and communities, and you can see it clearly on people’s faces as they slide down the snow.

As we look to the future and imagine the rest of the season, Bolton Valley is extremely hopeful that we can make this unusual season as close to ordinary as possible. That means that we need your help with following not only Bolton Valleys’ guidelines but also the States of Vermont’s.

We need everyone to wear either a mask or a two-layered buff that covers both your nose and mouth at all times. Everyone needs to make sure that they are keeping their distance in passing going down the hill and ESPECIALLY when waiting in the lift line and inside the lodge. Make sure that if you are thinking about joining us at Bolton Valley to please stay home if you are feeling sick, and if you are coming from out of state, you must quarantine for 14 days or 7 days followed by a negative covid test

Like you, Bolton Valley wants this season to be as normal as possible, spanning until April, so no one has to hike up the mountain on those awesome powder days.
